Greasemonkey Download Youtube

Have you ever seen a cool video on YouTube that you wanted to download? A lot of people wanted to do this - unfortunately YouTube did not provide this option(none that I know of, anyway). So scripts were created that will do this for you. These scripts include...

greasemonkey download youtube

If fact, youtube-dl is much more reliable than this script. If you are find with youtube-dl, just stick with it.But the point of this script is that you can easily download a YouTube video within a click, no need to open your terminal and enter youtube-dl command. But, you should use youtube-dl if you want to download more than 1080p or download a playlist.

Script Summary:A cross-browser script that adds a button to download YouTube videos as MP4 and FLV files. This script downloads the videos directly from YouTube and it integrates with YouTube's interface.

It is a good news that YouTube Videos can be downloaded as well. Joshua Kinberg at sandbox films created a Greasemonkey script which creates a link on the top of the screen for you to save the video locally. If you never get the live player working probably, YouTube Video Download script may be the good option. Here are the instructions:

YouTube videos are streaming media and downloading videos from YouTube with unofficial user interface seems to breach the Terms of Service. However, there exists a couple of ways as follows to do so with ease.

The Best in all available scripts is the YouTube enhancer script, which actually does justice to its name i.e. enhances the viewing experience by providing all functionalities like playback control, video resizing, quality enhancement, rollover preview, downloading and much more.

2. Download YouTube Videos in Different FormatsKeep-Tube is by far, the most downloaded/installed Greasemonkey script for YouTube. This script lets users download YouTube videos in High Definition (HD), High Quality (HQ), MP4, 3GP, and FLV formats.

This script also claims to work with other popular video sharing websites like Dailymotion, Magavideo, Google Videos, Vimeo, Metacafe, Myspace, Facebook and others. They also claim to provide more downloading options than other video downloaders.

YouTube Center is a userscript designed to expand the functionality of YouTube. It includes the ability to download the video you're watching, auto selecting your preferred video quality and much more.

I dont know anything about writing scripts but...I want to remove the &list= parameter from youtube links and/or the page where you watch the video, preferably both.So =_VIDEO_ID_&list=_LIST_ID_ would become: =_VIDEO_ID_.You can do this in the address bar and it gets rid of the annoying "uploads from _USER_NAME_" play list, but a script would be faster and easier.USI have researched around the web and found example scripts to change parameters but not delete them, and my attempts to alter them to my purposes have all failed.

EDIT: Just discovered youtube-dl command. Its GUI version is also available through a WebUpd8's PPA, but is not that powerful as its backend. As I said before, is one of the most powerful CLI tools to download videos from almost anywhere in the web.

If you use Firefox, they have a downloader, and for some videos it might require the installation of a companion app, which is quite straightforward. For me it works with 99% of videos on pages I visit with the Fox, if there is a video on the page you click on the icon and it offers you several options including to convert from one format to another. Magic for me.

The all-in-one bookmarklet supports YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, Myspace, Break.com, Putfile, Dailymotion, Sevenload, MyVideo.de and Clipfish.de. Bookmark the link below and access the bookmark when looking at videos on any of the supported websites. The bookmarklet will give you the download-link(s) for the video you were looking at.

Firefox users with the greasemonkey-extension installed may prefer to install this greasemonkey-script which will show a small notice-bar at the top of supported video clip pages when a video is found. If the bar is clicked upon, video download links are given on a small results page.

Google Video provides download links but depending on your operating system you may get varying content. When using "Download for Windows/Mac" users of Microsoft Windows will be offered the setup file for Google Video Player instead of an AVI video file. An option to "Manually download the video" provides the user with a GVP file.

The FLV splitter/decoder can also be downloaded as a standalone DirectShow filter (source filter + splitter + decoder) to be combined with Media Player Classic's official stable builds or other DirectShow video players including Windows Media Player.

Keepvid.com and Javimoya are server-based solutions while my scripts are client-based. Both concepts have pros and cons. Keepvid.com and Videodownloader.net also offer bookmarklets and Greasemonkey scripts, but those just refer to their webpage and will let them know about any video download done through them. None of my scripts involve third party interaction. It's all between you and the video publisher.

Tips. Downloading with VLC could be a complex task for inexperienced users as a minor mistake could lead to VLC downloading error. Hence we also share a more stable and efficient way to download YouTube videos with a free tool here (a brief tutorial is given in the last part): -video-converter.exe -video-converter.exe

Free HD Video Converter Factory is an alternative to VLC YouTube downloader. But unlike VLC, Free HD Video Converter is a more professional and stable program that can download embedded videos from YouTube and many other sites. It can also download YouTube playlists, convert YouTube to MP3, convert and compress video files without any hassle. Now, we will show you how to download YouTube with this software.

All you need is youtube-dl, a neat program written and actively maintained by Ricardo Garcia Gonzalez which allows you to download a YouTube video directly as a .flv file which can be played with mplayer or VLC.

A great alternative to the youtube-dl script is KeepVid.com which allows you to drop the video URL, select the video site it is from (yes it supports even more than YouTube) and just click download. Most files will have an ugly file name, but you can rename it to something.flv. VLC will play them fine!

Since YouTube video is Flash video, it will save all the files in .flv format, which some media players may have trouble with. That is why I also suggested downloading VLC portable to your USB Drive, as VLC will play almost every and any video type known to mankind. If you have Firefox, VLC, and any saved videos all on your USB drive, you can then download any video and watch them on any computer.

I am unsure what changed, but I suspect YouTube changed their URLs so you can not get a video without matching cookies. This prevents 3rd party sites from showing you ads and giving you download links.

You probably know many ways to download YouTube videos, but I guarantee you will like this one. With this script, it adds a download to every YouTube video you are watching without 3rd-party service, whether it is a private video or public video.

As its name suggests, this script allows you to download Deezer tracks, albums, playlists to your computer. You can also select the music quality from 128kbps MP3 to 1411 FLAC. Unfortunately, it has been removed from Notabug. I have a copy of it and it still works at the moment. You can get it from here and enjoy it while it works.

For Android users, you can download FireFox Nightly web browser. Within the browser, you can install Tampermonkey add-on through my custom add-on collection. For details, you can check how to run Tampermonkey scripts on mobile.

First, a few words for those who want to know what greasemonkey is and what wonders it can do: Greasemonkey is Firefox add-on which let you edit the way web looks and works with the help of a wide variety of already available scripts. Greasemonkey works because scripts are assigned for specific urls where it will only work and javascript change the functionality or visually the way webpage looks (it depends for what script was made).

According to BlogsDNAWhenever you will download any Greasemonkey script, your Greasemonkey Firefox add-on will automatically detects site for which that script is applicable and applys that script to the site as soon as you open it.

Streaming (aka, embedded) video has been around since the beginning of the internet, and while it can certainly be a very useful technology, I hate companies and websites that require you to stream the video and don't even offer an option to download it. What if you want to view it multiple times? What if you want to show a friend or co-worker? Tough! You have to stream it (re-download it) every single time you watch it. The only possibly reason for doing this that I can think of is that it supposedly allows the hosting site more control over the video, but it creates a severe inconvenience for users, prevents a number of possible customers from watching it in the first place (eg, if they're not running a "blessed" operating system, browser, or plugin), and exponentially increases bandwidth costs for the hosting provider. Additionally, the very fact that the movie has to be sent to the client to allow it to be played and displayed means that the client still gets a copy and can still save it anyway, just with much greater hassle.

If you want to save a streaming video from a site that doesn't offer a proper download link, you have a few options. Like most things in technology these range from easy but limited to difficult but extremely flexible. For now, I'm going to discuss the easy approach. :-) I'm also going to assume you're using Mozilla Firefox (if you're not, you really should be).

There are a number of Firefox extensions available that can greatly assist with saving embedded/streaming video clips. A simple search for "download video" on the Firefox Add-ons returns 19 extensions. I've personally used VideoDownloader in the past, and it worked well. 2ff7e9595c
